This hat typifies the 1950s\' small hats that were the fashion of the day. It is made of stiff material covered by a beige material containing gold threads, then trimmed with a band of complimentary satin, and finished with a long pheasant feather. Throughout the 1950s, ladies wore hats daily as a part of their attire as was a pair of gloves. Generally speaking hats remained small and close to the head. They were now touted as the essential accessory to complete the ensemble. There is no label, indicating it is a custom-made creation. This hat is in wonderful vintage condition and has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Note: There is a small stain inside the hat, which does not detract from its beauty or wearability as it is not seen when wearing. Mannequin not for sale.
